Dallas Cowboys have 4 players on Pete Prisco’s top-100 NFL players

Pete Prisco, Senior NFL Columnist for CBS Sports, released his top 100 NFL players entering the 2023 season.

Four Dallas Cowboys players made the list, while four others found themselves on the outside looking in.

I will go over who made the list in just a minute, but as we all know, making this list is formidable. Prisco’s list is solid from top to bottom.

We all can pick and choose who we would move up or down, but at the end of the day, that is why we all have our own space to talk about it.

There are so many great players in today’s game; having four on the list for the Cowboys is awesome.

The other four just missed the list.

Dak Prescott was the first to miss, but Prisco listed him as an honorable mention.

The other three to miss the list were Tony Pollard, DeMarcus Lawrence, and Trevon Diggs.

Diggs being left off the list shocked me. Diggs has a First-Team All-Pro nod in three seasons, two Pro Bowls nominations, and 17 interceptions.

Anyway, below are the four players that made the list.

Micah Parsons

This shouldn’t be a shocker to anyone; Micah Parsons was the highest-ranking player on Prisco’s list, at No. 8.

Parsons is the best player on this football team and one of the top 10 players in the NFL.

Nick Bosa and Myles Garrett are the other edge rushers ahead of him.

By the end of this season, Parsons could have a defensive player of the Year award, and he will close the gap on Bosa.

Zach Martin

This is pretty obvious: the first ballot Hall of Famer checked in at No. 25 on the list.

Year in and year out, Martin has remained one of the best linemen in the NFL.

He is the fourth overall lineman behind Trent Williams, Lane Johnson, and Andrew Thomas.

CeeDee Lamb

CeeDee Lamb checked in as No. 48 on the list.

With a breakout season a year ago, catching 107 passes for 1,359 yards and nine touchdowns.

He earned his spot here and as the No. 1 wideout on the Dallas Cowboys.

He is behind Justin Jefferson, Tyreek Hill, Ja’Marr Chase, Devante Adams, Stephon Diggs, Cooper Kupp, and AJ Brown.

Stephon Gilmore

Stephon Gilmore. You read that right; Stephon Gilmore is slotted in at No. 75.

Pete has him on the list but not Trevon Diggs.

I LOVE Gilmore, a former defensive player of the year, and the fact he is now a Dallas Cowboy is awesome. I think right now, Diggs is better.

Gilmore is the sixth-highest-rated corner on the list, but I can’t wait to see Gilmore on one side and Diggs on the other. This team is going to be so much fun to watch.

So there you have it, the list created by Pete Prisco. I think outside of Gilmore and Diggs being left off the list completely, the list is solid.

Prescott being an honorable mention is perfect for his down season a year ago.

Expect him to bounce back this year with the team adding Brandin Cooks to the offense.

Team finally made some moves that has given me hope going into a season.
