has been named NFC Defensive Player of the Week following his huge game against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 8.

The rookie had 10 tackles, four of them for a loss, to lead the and help Dallas overcome the absence of QB to get the victory. The Cowboys improved to 6-1 on the year, their sixth-straight victory, as Parsons continued to validate being a 1st-Round pick last April.

Already the betting favorite to be Defensive Rookie of the Year, Micah has already emerged as one of the better defensive players in all of football. He's on track to follow in 2018 as a rare rookie to make the Pro Bowl.

After having no Defensive Player of the Week awards in 2020, Dallas has now seen two guys recognized this year. CB received the honor in Week 4 after his two-INT performance against the Carolina Panthers.

Congratulations to Micah Parsons for this well-deserved award!  We know it's just the first of many.
