3 reasons why the Cowboys defense will be elite in 2024 2

After a 40-40 overtime tie with the Green Bay Packers last week on Sunday Night Football, the Dallas Cowboys are back on the road against a struggling New York Jets team.

Dak Prescott is playing the quarterback position at a real high level right now. The Jets are too busy beating themselves. New York had a comedy of errors in Week 4 against the Miami Dolphins.

Still, I think the Cowboys offense is so good, that Matt Eberflus should attempt to try something new on defense against the 0-and-4 Jets.

GAME INFO:

Date: Sunday, October, 5th | Time: Noon.

Location: MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, New Jersey

TV: FOX | Stream: FOX & FuboTV

Radio: 105.3 The Fan (KRLD-FM), 107.5 La Grande in Spanish (KMVK-FM).

Moneyline (ML): Cowboys – 142 (bet $142 to win $100) | Jets + 120 (bet $100 to win $120).

Against the spread (ATS): Cowboys -2.5 (-112) | Jets +2.5 (-108).

Over/Under (O/U): 47.5 (O: -110 | U: -110).

Time For A Change?

The Jets like to beat themselves, and Justin Fields will look good against the Cowboys defense. Every single team will.

I really think though, this week and next against the Panthers, Matt Eberflus should maybe try and switch things up?

He only rushes four, and sits back and after four weeks, the Cowboys defense ranks dead last, guys. I mean what is it going to hurt?

The Cowboys are on pace to be one of the worst defenses in NFL history, so they have to consider making major changes before it’s too late. And sitting Williams could be a step in the right direction as they try to become a respectable defense, if that’s even possible.

If they can be AVERAGE for the rest of the year, the level Dak Prescott is playing at right now, they can get to 10 wins, and probably make the playoffs, but I have zero trust in this defense.

the Cowboys have the No. 1 offense in the NFL entering Monday Night Football at 404.3 yards per game.

They have the WORST defense, sitting at No. 32 defense at 420.5 yards given up per game.

You have the Jets and the Panthers the next two games, and yes Justin Fields has looked more than decent even though the Jets are 0-and-4, but this defense has got to try something else.

I am no coach, so I don’t know what the fix is, but man, I really hope something changes over the next couple of weeks, so when Dallas is 3-2-1, they have a chance heading into the game with the Washington Commanders.

Dak according to the analytics is the most accurate passer in the league while having the 3rd deepest throws on average. That is in spite of having the worst pass blocking in the league, the worst defense, and injuries at receiver. Dak is playing as Dak has all his career.
Eburflus is just a bad coach who has instilled no discipline or assignment awareness on his players. Firing Eburflus is the answer as these players are not as bad as Eburflus has them playing.
