Well, after a 40-40 tie, the Dallas Cowboys will look to take care of the winless Jets on Sunday, but if you have not seen it by now, the Cowboys injury report is gross.

This week against the Jets and next week against the Panthers are two games that you have to win, and honestly, it might be a little tough with the amount of players they have on this report heading into the game tomorrow.

With that said, they showed last week that they still have enough even without guys like CeeDee Lamb to win games, and they should be able to win this game tomorrow but take a look at the report.

Dallas Cowboys

Out:

  • RG Tyler Booker, Ankle
  • LT Tyler Guyton, Concussion
  • Safety Malik Hooker, Toe
  • WR CeeDee Lamb, Ankle
  • WR KaVontae Turpin, Foot

No, Lamb or Turpin are big ones, as Turpin was becoming part of the offense with Lamb out and another player teams had to look out for on offense, but the offensive line is going to look really unstable.

Both Booker and Guyton are going to miss the game tomorrow. This is not ideal for a Jets team that has a decent defense under Aaron Glenn.

QUESTIONABLE

  • DE Marshawn Kneeland, Ankle
  • LB Kenneth Murray, Knee
  • RB Miles Sanders, Knee/Ankle
  • RG Tyler Smith, Knee

Tyler Smith is looking like he is not going to play, so the only starter tomorrow on the offensive line may be Terrence Steele, the worst one.

The defense is already bad enough, and if Kneeland and Murray don’t play, the Cowboys offense once again is going to probably have to score 30 plus points against a win-less jets team and that is saying a lot.

Justin Fields has looked halfway decent, so I expect them to have their hands full.

New York Jets

Out:

  • CB Michael Carter II, Concussion

Questionable:

  • Edge Jermaine Johnson, Ankle
  • RB Knee Nwangwu, Hamstring

The Jets report looks a heck of a lot better than the Cowboys, but still the Dallas Cowboys should win this game, but do not be surprised if it is a lot closer than it should be.

We have to be real here, the Cowboys will have one starter on the offensive line and missing a handful of other starters. Let’s hope this team pulls away in the second half like the Dolphins did to this team last week.

This game won’t be a walk in the park.

I’m not sure if you noticed or not, but Booker was out last week too, and we did fine without him!! The only difference this week is that Tyler Guyton is out, and his replacement at the end of the last game looked to be better than Guyton, so I don’t see that being any worse either…. It mite even be better!! Now if we lose Tyler Smith, that mite be something to worry about, but our coaches are really good at having linemen ready to play, so I think we’ll be fine if Smith misses!! Whoever takes his place mite not be as good, but I think they’ll be good enough!!

And as far as the defense goes, we mite miss Kneeland, he’s actually been pretty good, but if he’s out that just means more snaps for Houston, Ezeiruaku and Clowney, so I think we’ll be fine there too, or at worst the same as we have been!! And missing Kenneth Murray won’t be a problem, that mite be a blessing!! He’s one of the worst LBs we have!! The only one worse than him is Jack Sanborn!! But even though we’re still stuck with him starting for us, (for whatever reason) at least we’ll get the 2nd worse LB off the field and hopefully have somebody better playing!! There’s a chance that Marist Liufau will take over as the starter for Murray, and if he does then even though he’s made a couple dumb mistakes, we’ll still be a lot better there!! So it looks like we have a chance to be a better team with all the injuries we have!! But we’ll have to wait until game day to find out for sure!! But I believe we’ll be fine!!

And something else a little off subject…. Matt Eberflus is supposed to be a LB guru, he was one of the best LB coaches in the NFL for a long time!! So why are our LBs so bad!? Are they just so bad they can’t get any better even with the best LB coach, or is it Eberflus losing his touch?? Or could it be that it’s been so long since he’s coached the LBs that it’s taking longer to get them going?? Before the season started I had high hopes for this team, especially the defense, but they’re the exact opposite of what I was expecting!! The offense is actually about as good as I thought they would be, maybe a little better, but the defense is just bad!! And I just don’t understand why!? We have some really good players all up and down the defense, but they’re not playing the way they should be!! I think it’s the scheme making the players look bad, but hopefully things will get better soon and they’ll start playing like they’re supposed to!! Maybe it’s just a tough scheme that takes longer to get used to!! Who knows, I just hope something changes and we can get better!!
