Somehow, we are already in week 6 and the Dallas Cowboys will be on 10 days rest before facing the Green Bay Packers tomorrow night in Green Bay.
The Cowboys are coming off a loss on Thursday night to a team they had no business losing to, but yet here ready for the game against a team that was struggling to start the year, but just had a win over the Chicago Bears. I still have no idea if the Packers are good or not.
Anyway, with that said, as always, the Cowboys’ injury report still is not close to perfect, and two starters are once again ruled out for the game tomorrow.
🔑 DeMarvion Overshown is a “long shot”, per Schotty, but not ruled out — though Cobie Durant is.

Defensive Issues
They said Overshown is a long shot to play this week, so don’t expect him out there. Joey Porter popped up on the report with a ankle, but it was said yesterday that he will have no snap count tomorrow.
The fact that he is out again is so frustrating as a fan, because we all thought and want him to be good, but he just doesn’t play, so I am out on Overshown being a starting linebacker for this football team, and if they win this game, I would do anything to try and make one more trade for a guy.
Dee Winters is not very good either, who I thought when Dallas made the trade would be a very solid player, so maybe the coaching on this team is just in fact horrible.
Still, they are down Durant, who I think is still their best corner, and the issues right now that they have on the backend allowing for everyone and their money to throw the ball at them is a major issue.
The formula for Dallas should be to stop scoring in 6–7 plays and do anything possible to get the run game going and have 12-13 play drives and use the clock and attempt to keep the defense off the field as much as possible, but that isn’t how they operate. They score at a high clip because they have CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens.
Opposing QB vs the Cowboys this season (would be rank among QB):
- 72.1 completion pct (1st)
- 10-0 pass TD-INT (1st)
- 120.5 passer rating (2nd)
You have to keep the ball out of the Packers’ offensive hands, and you should have as good of a shot as any at winning, but guess what? This is the worst defense in football we are talking about.
Last year is probably the way this game is going to go, a high-scoring, who can get the last points, and it was a 40-40 tie a year ago, but Dallas will have to figure it out on the defensive side of the ball.
Anyway, we will see what happens tomorrow night, but these injuries are going to play a bigger role for the Cowboys than they will for the Packers, I think, just because it seems like that is just the nature of the beast when it comes to the Cowboys.
Javon Hargrave tore his achilles last week, so that is a big loss for them, but I still don’t think it overshadows how bad the Dallas secondary is on the surface.
