The Dallas Cowboys return home after a crazy Sunday Night football game against the Steelers last week. They will one of the best teams in the NFC, the Detroit Lions.
The Lions just had a bye week, so they will come into this game well rested, while the Cowboys are still battling more injuries than I can count. Micah Parsons seems like a long shot to play, so the roster will look much like it did against Pittsburgh.

Prove Em Wrong, Twice
Every person on American sports talk shows last week picked the Steelers to win this game because they were 3-and-1, against the Cowboys, who didn’t have Micah Parsons, DeMarcus Lawerence, DaRon Bland and Brandin Cooks.
Not only did the Cowboys win, but Dak Prescott battled back from the turnovers, and led a 15-play, 70-yard touchdown drive against probably the best defense in football.
Now, do it again. Prove everyone wrong for the second straight week, and beat a team most picked to win the NFC before the year started.
This game will clearly be much harder to win. The Lions have one of the best offenses in football, and they run the ball really well.
I understand it was the Giants and the Steelers the last two weeks, but that run defense has looked much better, and if they can somewhat repeat that and make Goff at least have to pass to pick up first downs, they have a chance.
Can’t Turn It Over
Dak Prescott clearly gives this team the best chance to win, and this team would not hvae won the game without his game-winning drive, but the two turnovers in the red zone can’t happen this week.
The sack fumble is tough, because you have two guys coming at you, and T.J Watt is just that dude.
He and CeeDee Lamb had miscommunication on that bad interception in the end zone. I think that will be fine, so when you get to the money zone, you have to score against this team.
Winning that game against the Steelers was huge putting them at 3-2, because the next handful of games for this team is tough. If they can somehow upset these guys and win their first game at home, it will be the best two-game stint for Mike McCarthy.
If you have read any of my stuff on here, you know I am not a fan of Mike McCarthy, but if he can pull this off, we have to give credit where it is due.
I will be honest with you, I don’t expect the Cowboys to win this game, but they can keep this close enough to give fans enough out of this contest.
The defense is playing together right now, they have a bunch of guys who are depth players just doing their job, not trying to make a splash play every single drop back.
This talent who is available for the Lions compared to the Cowboys will start to show in the second half. Jalen Tolbert and Rico Dowdle are going to need to be great like they were against the Steelers.
My final thoughts are that this will be within a couple scores until the middle of the third quarter.
The Lions took the lead late, and never give it back. They beat Dallas 31-21.
