Cowboys draft Kansas State RB Deuce Vaughn with 212th pick

The Dallas Cowboys have selected Kansas State running back Deuce Vaughn with the 212th pick in the NFL draft.

Standing at 5’5 Vaughn was tremendously productive at Kansas State. Over his final two years with the wildcats he had 2,962 rushing yards, 27 rushing touchdowns, and 846 receiving yards.

He was a 2-time 1st-team AP All-American, and can be a game changing type back. He can do just about everything well outside of pass blocking due to his size.

He fits perfectly into the current offense with Tony Pollard, they very well could be a nice one/two punch. They will just struggle a bit to pass block, but man this could be a fun backfield.

Take a look at the video below, he can change directions super quickly and has football speed.

His dad is also a college scout for the team, and was in the war room when Jerry Jones made the pick, but let’s be sure to note that they didn’t pick him for that reason.

Vaughn is a legit back, his size is the only thing that concerns me, other than that he was electric for the wildcats at Kansas State.

Still think they need to find someone to help the blocking aspect out of the backfield, but man this could be fun.

Christopher Summers wow we drafted help for the weak points in our defense and did pretty well! We ain’t gonna win a Super Bowl being an offensive team championships are won on the defensive side of the ball.

Christopher Summers did you forget TRYRON SMITH came out of Michigan? and i believe he is a all pro!! my point is, its not the college that’s the main factor, its the player’s work ethic and with deuce Vaughn, his dad works for the cowboys and if he did not think deuce was worth it , he would have so!!

John Claudio production!! Have you never watched him or looked at his stats? Led the nation in total yards. First team all American last 2 years. I was hoping we would take him. Could wind up better than Darren Sproyles.

That’s good draft a qb for this yr and the future of the cowboys as you can see Prescott this yr and his career would he win a sb never a good qb just average so Jerry time eat the money you spent on him and get a real qb so maybe in ten yrs they might make it but not with Prescott as the qb lol

Deuce is one of the backs that annoys the heck out of you when your team plays against him. He’s tiny, but he makes defensive players look silly play after play.

They do still need to bring in a thumper back for short yardage situations and to close out games. I’d love to see them bring in Abram Smith from the XFL for that role.
