Here we are again, Monday morning, talking about a big game that the Dallas Cowboys could not find a way to win after leading at half.
Not only did they lead at half, but they had a chance with more than three minutes left to take the lead and the offense could not gain a single yard.
Moments after the game ended, Cowboys All Pro corner Trevon Diggs had some words for Mike Leslie after he tweeted a video asking what Diggs was doing on the play because of his lack of effort. The tweet is below.

“That’s what you took from that?” Diggs said. “Out of that whole play, that’s what you took from that? You don’t know football. You can’t do nothing that I do. You can’t go out there and do nothing. Stay in your lane, buddy. Stop trying me, dog.”
“Just asking the question, Trevon,” Leslie said. “I mean, I’m happy to have you answer the question.”
“Out of that whole play, that’s what you took from that? That’s what you got from that? Out of that whole play, that’s what you got from that?”
This is becoming a embarrassment. Every single week something like this happens. This team has lost all of its faith and things are so uneasy inside and outside that locker room.
https://twitter.com/MikeLeslieWFAA/status/1850747562594295887I would expect better from a former All Pro in Diggs. I understand the frustration, but man, just let it go.
If you want to address it later in the open media session, do it, don’t make it bigger than it needs to be as it is right now.
Here Is The Problem
Not even 15 minutes after the game ended, Diggs found that tweet!
Diggs was so quick to search for his name on social media, hinting at an underlying problem with the Cowboys’ culture. It is a problem!
That should have been the last thing on Diggs’ mind, but here we are!
Leslie was doing his job like the rest of us, asking what he was doing, because we all saw it! Diggs declined to talk to the media after the locker room was opened. That is probably for the best, but it shows a lack of professionalism.
To be fair, the defense did finally get a stop when they needed to. The offense and Mike McCarthy’s play calling produced no yards on the final drive.
They pressed when they did not have to, they had plenty of time to even try to run the ball one or twice on that drive.
All But Over
With Washington winning on a hail marry and the Eagles taking care of bossiness, the Cowboys are now 3-4 and with a loss next week to the Falcons, this season is all but over.
Many think it is already over, and I do agree, Jerry Jones has put this team in such a hole, nobody can get out of it.
This is the first time in a long time that this team has folded even before Thanksgiving.
https://twitter.com/Marcus_Mosher/status/1850894853430796377Don’t expect this to go like it did in 2018. The Cowboys started that season 3-4, but Jerry made a move by trading for Amari Cooper.
They made that trade and finished the season 10-6. I am not even sure I see five more wins on the schedule.
The Cowboys’ next four opponents — the Falcons, Philadelphia Eagles, Houston Texans and Washington Commanders — are a combined 22-9 after each won on Sunday.
Welcome to the end of this season, at this point, I just hope they can clean house. They will have no choice but to work with Dak and CeeDee Lamb because of the contracts, but please get a young head coach in here and have Jerry get out of the dang way!
