There haven’t been many many teams worse than the Dallas Cowboys in 2020 but Cincinnati might be one of them. The Bengals have lost three fumbles and allowed Dallas to take a 17-7 lead into halftime of their Week 14 matchup.
Cincy fumbled on their first drive to set the Cowboys up in great field position but Dallas only finished with a field goal. Another fumble on the Bengals’ second drive was recovered by DE Aldon Smith and returned for a touchdown.
Andy Dalton’s return to Paul Brown Stadium has been solid so far. He’s completed 9 of 11 passes for 92 yards and a touchdown pass to Amari Cooper.
If not for the turnovers then this could be a very different game. The Bengals have moved the ball well overall with 196 yards of total offense but keep losing the ball. They did manage a touchdown at the end of the half with QB Brandon Allen finding A.J. Green in the endzone.
Ezekiel Elliott, whose status was uncertain earlier this week with a calf injury, has been stymied with just 17 yards on six carries. It will be interesting to see if Zeke gets many more touches today given the health issue and ineffectiveness.
