The 2020 NFL Draft has come to completion and the Dallas Cowboys had a heck of a week. They’ve had arguably one of the better drafts in the NFL, getting value at pretty much ever spot in the draft.

Now comes the second part of the draft selection process as they go after the undrafted free agent market. Over the years, the Dallas Cowboys have had a ton of success in finding talent in undrafted free agents. Tony Romo, Miles Austin, and Cole Beasley all went undrafted and played major roles for the Dallas Cowboys during their time wearing a star.

Will the Dallas Cowboys find some more diamonds in the rough of the undrafted free agent class. Stay tuned to InsideTheStar.com to find out.

But it’s not a glaring need. Between Ha Ha Clinton-Dix and Xavier Woods you have two good safeties.

I agree….we don’t have a starting strong safety right now, both Clinton Dix and Woods are free safeties!! Even if one does start at strong safety neither one of them are too good at that spot!! And not to mention they’ll both be gone after this season!! They still undervalue the safety position even with the new coaching staff and it’s getting really old!! And they wonder why they can’t get out of the bottom of the league for interceptions!! I guess they expect all those edge rushers they have to get interceptions!!

The best draft by the Boys in years. We have safeties and 1 ir 2 CB that can easily switch to FS or SS.
Look at all the players we signed as FA and then the studs we drafted. New coaches, New scheme, we are clearly making a run to win the East and run deep into playoffs.
Go Boys!!!

The only positions that need to address is S and Swing Tackle! Everything is pretty much covered. Wonder if they are still trying to trade for Jamal Adams!

There will be final cuts and trade at cut down date. So maybe we will get those position too. But our coach believe we got a guy on this team already that can move to safety in be damn good. So let him make his magic before make to many judgements. I think this was his draft, and I am loving it

I think they’ll wait out the contract stuff to see if a holdout goes into training camp (if there is one). The Jets don’t really need to do anything until the COVID-19 lockdown is over.

This particular team NEEDS Adams. Every great cowboy team had an emotional leader on defense. Adams is that guy. There is no substitute. Get it done and see where it goes. Crawford and others will have to go to make room for his contract. I hope it’s worth it. Dallas doesn’t normally pay safeties but this is different. They have two years to make it happen before this all goes to hell.

They could make room for Adams by reducing Crawford’s salary.

Safety isn’t a direct need. They might not have great star players in the position but not desperate there. A safety didn’t fall to them that they wanted so didn’t reach for 1. They addressed the cb section which was in a more dire situation and even address the center position which honestly I didn’t have them taken 1 unless dropping down in late 1st.This was one of the bestdrafts I have seen dallas have in a long time. I am curious if they have a potential trade in mind for a safety. I would like them to give Elliott and pollard some help in undrafted free agency. As well as as competition for bell and jarwin. Patriots reached and took the te I wanted.

Guess Donovan Wilson is chopped liver.. Funny how people forgot how productive he was in preseason last year. Hopefully this regime will allow young guys to play instead of playing guys just because they’re vets

Donovan Wilson could be a really good player he just needs a chance to play! Garrett was terrible about playing the young guys and the players he made inactive on Sundays that’s part of the reason he’s gone. So many young guys could have helped last year but Garrett was afraid to lose his job and that’s why he did, you can not coach scared it’s like playing scared it doesn’t work! He wanted guys who could help on special teams and that really worked out since we had the worst special teams unit in the league last year. Way to go Jason guess you learned nothing from Jimmy Johnson when you played for him.

Being a South Carolina Gamecock fan I’d love to have Charlton as our Punter. That kid is a Master at his position. I am excited to have Rico Dowdle the RB from The Gamecocks. Does anyone know if Mccarthy will have a 3rd RB on the roster? I would to see Rico land that spot if so. If you haven’t seen Rico Dowdle play, check his highlights out on YouTube. As far as the draft goes, Mccarthy nailed it!!! I think we’re about to experience great things in Dallas. #HOWBOUTDEMCOWBOYZ

I see 5 or six guys on this list who have a chance of making the team or being on the practice squad. I like Francis Bernard, Ron’Dell Carter, Aaron Parker, Garrett Marino, Terrence Steele, Luther Kirk they all have potential to be decent NFL Players. A few of others could be developmental prospects Azur Kamara, Charlie Taumoepaeu, Ladarius Hamilton, Stephen Guidry need some coaching and more polish before they will be ready. I like what we have done though wish we got or drafted Thaddeus Moss though he’s only going to get better and better! The Garrett Marino guy is short but very powerful and tough to handle one on one he had 41 reps in the bench press and ran a 4.89 40 at 290 lbs. Ron’Dell Carter 12 sacks and 27 tackles for a loss last year and was the defensive player of the year in his conference, he is also tough to handle one on one. Aaron Parker 81 receptions for 1,224 yards and 9 td’s is another player to like he can be a good back-up receiver for us.

I’m tired of all this whining like little kids. We had another great draft , did reach on anything. MR. JERRY and the Dallas Cowboys hot what they needed to carry on. Grant Delpit had tackling issues and if it came to CeeDee Lamb and anybody not named Chase Young , Jeff Okudah, , Javon Kinlaw it would still be CeeDee Lamb. Be thankful for all the top notch talent that we just added to Cowboys Nation. All the sports writers are giving us great grades for this draft and we still got some whining ass fans crying foul. Why because they feel like we took the right players. We got what we needed and we have some good safeties already on the team that can play strong and free safety. If it’s meant for Jamal Adams to be a Cowboy MR.JERRY will get him. I would LOVE to have him , if it’s in the cards for us. Not going to cry if we don’t. Woods can play any position in the secondary. Awuzie is another. Then you went and got two young studs for the secondary. We are going to be alright. We shored up the defense when we went and got two big beasts of players in McCoy and Poe to solidify our interior defensive line. Then we drafted another beast in Gallimore. The brother that made the comment about us going to get Adams I agree with you on that. The ones still talking about what we didn’t get , it’s you all that I’m speaking on. Trust the process ! We are on our way back to the top where we need to be. I think our defense had a year where they fell from Grace. D Law won’t let that happen again. He is our leader on defense. Dak is the leader on offense. Lets stop crying about what we don’t have and start cheering about what we do have. All the dead weight is gone and we have gotten rid of the culture of losing. All the losers have defected and gone, got that out of our system

I have been a cowboy fan since I was 10 years old and am now 65 yrs old, you can count the games that I may have missed on one hand since, I say that this is one of the best draft and udfa signings as far as quality players that I have witnessed and if you put the free agent signings with them, I believe that this team can rank alongside one of the MASTER’S team, and yes TOM LANDRY to me is considered to be the master when it comes to building a team to make a run at a CHAMPIONSHIP!!!
