The 2-and-1 Dallas Cowboys are back home tomorrow against the Washington Commanders.
Dallas is coming off a Monday night divisional win, with a chance to win three in a row tomorrow. Washington will try to rebound after a dismal performance last week against the Eagles, where they could only muster 8 points.
Washington has allowed 15 sacks this season, and now they face the best pass rush in football. Micah Parsons and company will be ready to make the game difficult for Carson Wentz and the rest of the offense for the Commanders. The Cowboys must ensure they don't come into this matchup thinking they will dominate with their defensive line. The offensive line for the Commanders could have a solid day and look better; every game is a new one, head coach Mike McCarthy noted Thursday.

Although they have good weapons outside, the Cowboys have done a terrific job limiting other top receivers to this point, and we should know by now that has something to do with the ability to rush the passer. Still, Trevon Diggs captured his first interception Monday that sealed the game for the Cowboys. He has played stellar to this point in the season.
The Cowboys should win this game, and I am sitting here right now giving credit to Cooper Rush for helping the Cowboys win football games, but at some point, it will take more than 23 points to win a football game, which is the highest he has scored thus far. A drop by CeeDee Lamb and the no-call on Noah Brown in the end zone are a couple of plays that should have ended in touchdowns.
It has been MUCH better than I expected it to be with Rush, no doubt. The offense is playing well enough to win with a backup being under center, and Kellen Moore may finally understand that he has one of the best 1-2 punches in the backfield that can open up some easy throws.

Everyone wants to point to week one for Dak Prescott, but the back-to-back MVP was only able to put up 14 points last week against that same defense; it is a small sample size. The Bucs' defense might be the best in football.
Just continue to do what was done last week, run the football 30 times with Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard; the offensive line has improved and will set up some easy throws for Rush to complete, and even run a few play-action down the field. If you have read my posts since I have been here, I have said from the start this should have been the game plan the entire time. Make teams respect the run and hurt them down the field.
This offense should not change when Prescott returns, slow the game down like they should against Washington, let the defense do what they do, and make the plays that need to be made.
As long as the Cowboys win football games, It doesn't matter. Dallas wins another close one 20-16.
