The game started exactly how we all should have expected it to. The Dallas Cowboys defense was on full display early.
After actually getting a stop on the first drive of the game, JaVonte Williams fumbled on the Cowboys’ opening drive and allowed the Bears to jump all over Dallas.
The Cowboys’ defense was unable to get another stop until the Bears scored 14 straight points on two awful plays by the Cowboys secondary. The defense finally forced a punt when Dallas was down 14-6.
After losing CeeDee Lamb on the second drive of the game, it just felt like the Dallas offense would not be able to score enough to win this football game.
Yet Dak Prescott was sharp in the first half and found George Pickens for a two-yard touchdown and then hit Jalen Tolbert with a bullet to tie the game at 14.
That is where the offense would stop, and, YES, they should have scored more than 14, but no CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens, not being able to catch a ball today was an issue.
Cowboys defense is just lost. As lost as they were early last season in losses to New Orleans and Baltimore. They've given up 12 pass plays of 25 yards or more this season – 11 in the last two games. Just a disaster so far and no answers.

Defense Is A Problem
With about five minutes left in the first half, the Cowboys’ defense could have gotten off the field but on third and long, the Bears ran a screen pass to set up a FG to make it 17-14.
After a punt by Dallas, the defense once again could not even hold them to three to end the half. Dallas found themselves in the hole 24-14 at the end of the half.
The Bears scored on every single possession of the half outside of maybe the first drive.
The second half wasn’t much better, and after Pickens drop a ball right off his hands when they could have cut it to 10 that resulted in a INT, you knew it was over
The moment Lamb got hurt, you had to figure out whether it was going to cause an issue.
When teams don’t have to worry about anyone other than George Pickens, you saw it coming.
This defense is worse than 2020 when Mike Nolan was running it.
Chicago put the final nail in the coffin when the Bears took nearly 10 minutes off the clock and scored another touchdown on the worst defense in football to make the score 31-14.
The Cowboys’ offense was driving in an attempt to cut it back to 10, but after a wide open drop by George Pickens that resulted in a Dak INT, the game was all about over.
This was definitely the worst game of the year for this team. I loved what I saw in week one, and week two was a game that they normally also lose, but didn’t.
This game was a major issue and next week is a must-win against the Packers on Sunday Night Football.
This season is about to get ugly in a hurry if the Cowboys’ defense does not get figured out.
Even with only 14 points, I’m not SLIGHTLY worried about the offense, it’s the defense that continues to be an issue.
When you know you have to score legit on every possession, that has to get frustrating.
The Dallas defense has made Russell Wilson and Caleb Williams look like the MVP of the league in back-to-back games.
Another EMBASSASSING performance. This team is imploding in real time. If they lose to the Packers next week they are done for the season! Forget the playoffs. They were lucky to beat the GIANTS, bailed out by their kicker! They could very well be 0-3 right now.
So, Lion put 52 on the Bears last week and this team manages 14 this week. Tell me how this offense is good? QB1 continues to CHECK DOWN constantly. His percentage looks good only b/c he dinks and DAKS. He beats his chest when he got 14 points and then looks clueless with his mouth agape, after he throws an INT.
Hate to say it but they are not a contenders. Outside of a few players, there is no fire, no intensity. Their pockets are full and they’re fat and satiated. Former great Cowboys are probably shaking their heads at this version of the once proud Cowboy history.
Typo; ‘EMBARRASSING’ performance.
Vam, when you fumble away the first drive that for sure was going to net points and then Pickens drops a ball right in his hands inside the 30, who knows how those drives end.
As for the points issue, ask yourself the same thing, how did the Packers lose to the Browns today???
Losing your best offensive player who opens up the field entirely is an issue.
This defense is the biggest issue with this team, and it creates so much mess when you know that a team is going to get points every single time the other offense steps on the field.
Not saying the defense wasn’t bad, but 14 points! There are issues to go around.
Dak is dinkin & dunkin because the OL is NOT GOOD… Dallas REALLY NEEDED an OT, not necessarily an OG in the 1st
a Dallas Cowboys fan, since the 70’s looks like the Cowboys can’t beat the bad teams
This team is about to see a serious a whooping from GB.. Parsons has a point to prove
You mean the team that just lost to the Browns? Lol
