#DALvsWAS: Andy Dalton’s Revenge Highlights Cowboys’ Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving tradition around Cowboys Nation is normally celebrated with friends, family, good food, and of course the Dallas Cowboys. Due to COVID-19 concerns though that tradition may be a different this year than in years past. But, at least we can keep the tradition of watching the Cowboys on Turkey Day alive.

In a rare divisional matchup on Thanksgiving the Dallas Cowboys will host the Washington Football Team today at AT&T Stadium. The Cowboys are trying to avoid the sweep after being embarrassed 25-3 by Washington back in Week 7 and in order to accomplish such a feat they will need Andy Dalton at his best.

Fortunately for the Cowboys, Andy Dalton could be a little extra motivated heading into this Week 12 matchup against Washington. It wouldn’t be all that surprising if No. 14 is looking to get a little revenge after the cheap shot he took from LB John Bostic that caused him to exit their previous meeting early. That burning internal fire for revenge could help ignite Dallas’ offense.

Believe it or not, but the Dallas Cowboys have been playing some of their best football in the past few weeks. They almost handed the undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers their first loss in 2020 and just recently took down a pretty hot Minnesota Vikings team less than a week ago. Taking down a division foe like Washington should be relatively easy compared to that.

Washington of course isn’t going to roll over just because the Dallas Cowboys are playing some of their best football right now. This is a division game with a lot on the line. The victor of this contest moves into first place in the NFC East and the loser can pretty much kiss their season goodbye. That’s why Andy Dalton extracting his revenge probably highlights this matchup in my opinion.

For the Dallas Cowboys to win today they will need Andy Dalton at his best. Washington’s defense, particularly their defensive line, is the strength of their team. The “Red Rifle” is going to have to stand in there and show no fear, because Chase Young and Company will be gunning to put him in the dirt as many times as possible. Hopefully Dalton is up to the challenge.

Do you think Andy Dalton will get his revenge against Washington?
