The Dallas Cowboys will not be making a head coaching change.
Mike McCarthy will return for the 2024 season, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Wednesday.
After another one and done in the playoffs at home against the Packers, many thought Jerry Jones would finally fire McCarthy.
We should have known better. It was reported Wednesday night that big Mike will return as the head coach of the Cowboys next season.
McCarthy, is 42-25 in four regular seasons with Dallas.
He has one year left on his contract, has won 12 games in three straight seasons, but only has ONE playoff victory.
Jerry Jones has become the problem in Dallas.
He refuses to listen to the fan base and truly understand what and when changes need to be made.
This now means the team will more than likely extend Dak Prescott and run it back.
Not sure if Dan Quinn will return or not, but you can’t possibly sit here and give me a good reason why this core should all come back.
They choked away their best chance to reach the NFC title game!
Everyone wants to point to the 12 wins each of the last three seasons, but I’m sick of that.
I have been a Cowboys fan my entire life, born in 1996, and have seen 4 playoff wins.
I am sick and tired of winning regular season games.
If Dallas struggles at all this season, look for a Wade Phillips-Jason Garrett type situation.
With McCarthy in the last year of his deal, Jones better be ready to fire him if they struggle at all to start the year.
When does enough become enough for Jerry Jones?
This was not a post I wanted to right, in fact, I was hoping it would be McCarthy being fired.
How are we even suppose to look forward to next season with him returning?
I hate being a Cowboys fan.
