Predicting the Dallas Cowboys season results for the 2024 regular season continues today as we highlight weeks 11-14. Week 11 features a showdown with a fellow Texas team, and it might not have the results Cowboys Nation expects.
After the first two installments of this series, the Cowboys sit with a 6-3 record with big wins over Detroit and Philadelphia, and they look to continue their winning ways through the holiday season.
Wins during the months of November and into December position the Cowboys to compete for the NFC’s top seed.
This is the third installment of my predicting the Cowboys season series. To read the first two installments, utilize the following links:
Week 11: vs Houston Texans (Monday Night Football)
The battle of the Texas teams has renewed vigor now that the Houston Texans are a playoff team. In his first year, HC DeMeco Ryans won the AFC South and advanced past the Cleveland Browns into the Divisional round of the playoffs.
Houston would go on to lose to Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens, but they enter the 2024 season with high expectations of advancing even further in the postseason.
Texans QB C.J. Stroud played well beyond his years as a rookie, and backed by a solid wide receiver corps and opportunistic defense, it will be a tough test for the Cowboys.
Prediction: Loss
The Cowboys will once again lose the Governor’s Cup to their in-state rivals after the offense struggles versus a DeMeco Ryans defense that knows how to limit Dak Prescott and his weapons.
Ryans was the mastermind behind two playoff victories over Prescott and the Cowboys. As the defensive coordinator of the San Francisco 49ers, Ryans limited the effectiveness of the Cowboys’ offense, confusing Dak Prescott into sacks and turnovers.
It will be a close game, but Mike McCarthy and the Cowboys won’t have enough to come out with the victory because of the offense’s woes.

Dallas Cowboys 20
Week 12: at Washington Commanders
After suffering their fourth loss of the season, the Cowboys will get a brief respite from facing a team with top-tier talent throughout the roster.
A trip to the nation’s capital is a good cure-all after a loss. Dallas will visit the lowly Washington Commanders starting a rookie QB Jayden Daniels. Perhaps by week 12, Daniel will have acclimated to the speed of the NFL game.
Regardless of Daniels’ progress, the Commanders don’t have the horses to keep up in the race with the Cowboys, and Dallas heads back home for Thanksgiving with a victory.
Prediction: Win
Dak Prescott doesn’t lose to NFC East foes, and he will extend his record over them to 12-2 with his seventh win in the past eight attempts. Former defensive coordinator turned head coach for Washington, Dan Quinn, might have some tricks up his sleeve, but parlor tricks won’t work.
Mike McCarthy’s team doesn’t lose consecutive games, and that still rings true on this trip to Washington.
Dallas Cowboys 26
Washington Commanders 13
Week 13: vs New York Giants (Thanksgiving)
The New York Giants come to town for the second and final meeting of the regular season. This time, the Cowboys get to feast on Daniel Jones and the Giants’ offense on Thanksgiving.
New York failed to address the quarterback position in the draft, instead electing to continue with Jones at the helm. It hasn’t worked out well for them, but with the news that HC Brian Daboll decided to call plays himself, it may be Jones’ last chance.
Prediction: Win
Even on a short week, the Cowboys’ offense is in a late-season rhythm, and the demolishing of a division rival on Thanksgiving sounds like a great appetizer before dinner.
The offense rolls while the defense stifles any offensive attack the Giants can muster. We will see Ezekiel Elliott score a touchdown and celebrate in the Salvation Army kettle for old times’ sake.
Dallas Cowboys 38
New York Giants 10
Week 14: vs Cincinnati Bengals (Monday Night Football)
If the New York Giants were an appetizer, the Cincinnati Bengals are a very high-priced dessert. Joe Burrow and the Bengals will visit AT&T Stadium for a marquee matchup on Monday Night Football.
I don’t have to explain to you how potent the Bengals’ offense can be with wide receivers Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Jermaine Burton catching passes from Burrow. The defense is nothing to write home about outside of pass rusher Trey Hendrickson, however.
The Bengals’ secondary can be thrown on, and their offensive line still has to prove it can keep Burrow’s jersey clean.
Prediction: Win
Dak Prescott and the offense won’t have any trouble moving the football against the Bengals’ porous secondary, and the offense rolls to another 30+ point performance at AT&T Stadium.
Micah Parsons will make Joe Burrow’s life a living nightmare, sacking him twice and hurrying his throws multiple times to create two turnovers. The Cowboys will prove to the NFL they are a force to be reckoned with late in the season as they cruise to a surprisingly comfortable victory in primetime.
Dallas Cowboys 31
Cincinnati Bengals 20
Record: 9-4
After a loss to the Houston Texans, the Dallas Cowboys will cruise to three straight wins during their annual three games in 14 days around Thanksgiving.
This sets them up for a late December push for playoff seeding. At 9-4, they will likely be leading the NFC East, and at least be in the conversation for a top seed in the NFC.
Stay tuned for the final installment of my predicting the season series, set to publish on Friday morning.
