"We’re gonna get better from this": Micah Parsons Frustrated Yet Determined After Loss to Eagles

Mr. 4th and long himself, Jesse Holley who played for the Cowboys from 2009 through ’11 had some interesting words for Micah Parsons this week.

Holley joined Ray Ray’s podcast which is based out of Dallas, Texas to called about all things Dallas Cowboys.

He explained to the pod why he thinks Parsons needs to do more for the Cowboys to finally break through and win that championship they have been chasing for nearly 30 years.

Holley’s Comments

“Micah Parsons, to me, is probably the most selfish player on this football team,” Holley said on Wednesday’s episode of the podcast.

Holley then went on to note that Parson’s desire to remain a pass-rusher is hurting the team.

First of all, if you are great at what you do why would you want to stop doing it?

He made some ridiculous comment that Parsons does not want to play linebacker because it is to much of a “responsibility.”

“Maybe it’s just the youth in him. Micah doesn’t want to study. Micah doesn’t want to focus in, and I truly believe Micah wants to be great for Micah.”

Holley’s comments went viral Friday, with “Micah Parsons” trending on twitter.

Only Problem I Have

Look, the comments by Holley really don’t make sense.

Here is the ONLY problem I have with Micah. He talks on social media way to much.

He responds to all these guys who have a talk show like Skip Bayless and others.

Parsons has a podcast and he streams on TikTok and other places, and since the Cowboys got bounced from the playoffs he has not been active.

I will agree that he needs to take over games. He needs to show up and show why he is a Defensive Player of the Year candidate every single season.

There has been so much drama filled around this team since this team came up short again and got bounced from the playoffs in the wild card round.

CeeDee Lamb’s mom sounding off on Facebook, both Parsons and Dak Prescott’s brothers had some words for some of the players and the team on twitter.

The Cowboys are a walking drama series. For someone who was born in 1996 and has never seen this team make it further than the divisional round of the playoffs, it sucks.

This team has every chance to be good year in and year out, but they are missing something.

Mike McCarthy is back and possibly coaching for his career in 2024. Dan Quinn still might take a head coaching job.

If he does, Dallas will be left without someone calling the defense. I was happy Quinn came back last year, but won’t hate to see him go now.

If this teams fails again next season, they are going to blow the entire team up.

They are about to pay Prescott, Lamb and Parsons. That will be all the money they have.

I am sick and tired of losing, and everyone playing the blame game after they choke every year.

Make a change, make sure this doesn’t happen again. Parsons will continue to talk next season, but if he doesn’t show up in the post season again, it will be just like Prescott.

Hate to say it, but I’ve been a Cowboy fan since 1964. You think THIS sucks? It was much worse before SB6 when Dallas lost in the playoffs every year. They were called “bridesmaids” and “next years champion” and assorted other stuff. This isn’t near as bad.
The problem? They cut too many corners and get big heads. No discipline.

Cry me a river!
When DAL is outmaneuvered by PHI, SF, LA, SEA, GB each off-season… That’s at least 6 losses every fan should expect!

If you become outraged by their shortcomings… I’m not sure you have an understanding of what it takes to build a Super Bowl Contender.

I was around for the Team of the 90’s… and JJohnson & JJones had to break bank and pull off some masterful transactions.

They’re doing the opposite now!
Which is why I’m not disappointed in outcome.

Can’t sit on $25m unused cap space each year and convince me you’re “all-in”.

I wouldn’t go as far as calling MP (selfish) but agree with what Jesse Holley is expressing, at the same time, I know injuries took a toll on the defense, still why the Coaches did not place MP at MLB leaves Me shaking My head, had the adjustment been made when LVE went down, We wouldn’t be here discussing this at all. If it was up to Me, it would’ve happened, especially being deep at DE (Edge rushers) D. Lawrence, D. Armstrong, D. Fowler, S. Williams
That’s 4 capable pass rushers to rotate. That’s what’s disappointing about DQ, He didn’t adjust when needed. And now We True Cowboy fans have to wait another year, watching other teams continue. I really hope They get this franchise back on top! Us True fans deserve it.
