Over the last few years, the Dallas Cowboys team has had its fair share of poor positions. There have been struggles with the quarterback, safety, and kicker positions here and there. One has stood out among the rest though.
The offensive line has struggled to do its job for a while now. Last season was by far the best compared to the previous three, but even last year wasn’t very good.
Fans have seen injuries, errors, and straight-up awful offensive line play for too long now.
It’s time for the Dallas Cowboys to fix their issue with the line and make it great again. Will next season be the time when the offensive line is up to date?
Let’s first look at our players.
Tyler Smith:
Offensive Lineman Tyler Smith has been one of the newest members of the Cowboys team. After being drafted by them in the first round, Smith has gotten to take the role of the left tackle position.
Going into his second year, we will be able to see much improvement in his skill as he starts to settle into his new role.
Jason Peters:
The big guy is back in Dallas and will be playing as the left guard this year. Peters, who was acquired only last season by the Cowboys, has something similar to Tyler Smith, they are both new to the team.
While Peters has had much experience in the NFL, he is still new to the Dallas Cowboys.
Jason Peters will be much more involved next season and will be very impactful to the franchise.
Tyler Biadasz:
The Cowboy’s Center has been pretty good over the years. The snaps are always on target, Biadasz always blocks well, and he has good skill with field awareness.
I would say Tyler Biadasz is a very good player and deserved his spot on the field. Next season should be another great year with him and no change should be done to that position.
Zack Martin:
Mr. Martin will be playing right guard next season and is ready to go. One complaint about his player is his field awareness level. I often see Martin looking around the backfield, determining who to block.
Martin will need to work on finding his guy to block and sticking with him.
He is a great player, but some work will need tp be done to assure that the line will hold against the defense.
Tyron Smith:
After getting injured early last season, Smith is ready to finally get his full year in.
Tyron Smith is a man who is built with strength and the ability to block. His skill will come in handy a lot next season and if he stays healthy he will make a massive difference in the Cowboys team.
Overall, these players seem to be learning about the game still. Besides Jason Peters, all these guys are young, which is really good for the Cowboys as they will most likely remain in Dallas for a while.
The Cowboys offensive line looks like it will improve next season, and we will see an elite set of players who are ready to face anything.
Jason Peters isn’t currently on the team???
This writer’s articles are consistently erroneous and probably designed to provoke controversy. Tyron Smith and Zack Martin are each about 32- not young! Zack is a future HOF guard, who is as close to perfection as you can get. Jason Peters will probably not start unless a starter gets injured.
No mention of Steele?
Finally, proofread your script for typos, please!
Jason Peters isn’t on the team any more. Right now, the cowboys are toying around with the idea of using Edoga, Waletzko, or Ball at left guard. I don’t think that’s anywhere near being set in stone though. They need to get Steele in there somewhere, but Jerry likes him as the swing tackle now.
Steele was great as the right tackle, but I dont think he’s even played left. Tyrone Smith is great at left tackle, but not so good at right. Not sure why they are messing with tis or if it’s just rumor control
The last I heard they were talking about trying Steele at left guard!! Jerry did say he wanted to use him at swing tackle, but as good as he was at right tackle, I don’t think they’ll move him!! And I haven’t heard anything about using Edoga, Waletzko or Ball at left guard!! The last I heard, those 3 are just depth pieces!! I think they need to put Tyron at LT, Tyler Smith at LG, and Biadasz and Martin in their usual spots at Steele can stay at RT!! That puts the best 5 on the line at once!!
Is Jason Peter’s even signed? And how do you have this conversation without mentioning Terrence Steele? Not sure what I’m missing here
Seriously??? Tony, my man. You gotta do better than this nonsense. Peters isn’t even signed, and there’s no mention Steele returning.
I’m not really sure what you’ve seen or heard, but Peters isn’t on the team anymore!! And the last I checked, Martin is one of the best guards in the NFL, he’s not had any problems finding and blocking his guy!! Connor McGovern mite have had that problem, but not Martin!! It’s crazy that you say that all these linemen haven’t had any issues with blocking or finding who they need to block except for Martin, the best linemen on the team!! The only linemen on the team that actually keeps his guy out of the backfield!!
Yeah man I don’t think you can use chatgtp for this bro. You’re way off base. I’m not sure you even know what football is after this article
They better. Otherwise the Cooks trade was pointless.
