DT Brent Urban, CB Maurice Canady Placed on Injured Reserve

The Dallas Cowboys started their week of practice off the bye with good news on QB Dak Prescott, WR Michael Gallup, and CB Kelvin Joseph, but now have two players heading to injured reserve. Defensive tackle Brent Urban has been placed on IR with a triceps injury while cornerback Maurice Canady is dealing with a concussion.

Urban has averaged roughly 40% of the team’s defensive snaps in each game this season at nose tackle. While the Cowboys can look ahead to the return of Neville Gallimore and Trysten Hill to fill this void, they are thin at Urban’s position of a run stopping tackle.

Canady has played more on special teams than defense, playing just seven snaps at New England where he suffered his concussion.

The Cowboys will need roster spots in the coming weeks to return players from injury, and while facing more injuries is hardly how they’d like to do so the overall health of this roster remains good through seven weeks for the NFC East leaders.

Brent Urban is on this team? Oh, right. Other than roster depth will we really miss him? Same goes for Canady.

Well that is a little coincidental

Really starting to get irritated by the type of articles being written, they all circle around one or two items and lots of memes, or regurgitated opinions out there being circulated as facts. I’d really like to find out how the guys on IR are doing with their rehabs. How will the Boys scheme for Minnesota since MN is MUCH better then their (30-3) record and Cousins is playing extremely well. What are key match-ups?

(3-3) record. Apologies for typo.
