You still have time to set your lineup before kickoff, so for those scrambling to make decisions, here’s a quick ranking of the top Cowboys fantasy football plays in Week 3.

In last week’s bout with the Giants, we saw a fantasy revival of sorts from Dallas after a lackluster showing in Philadelphia. Now, despite some “trap game” claims, the Boys are facing off against their weakest opponent yet.

If that fact can combine with the overall improved offense we saw in Week 2, the points from this one could get you a win.

So, without further ado, here’s the ranking for this week; if you have any number of these guys, it should be a no-brainer to insert them right into your lineup.

1: Javonte Williams: New Cowboys Leader In Fantasy Relevance

If I told you before the season started that veteran running back Javonte Williams would take CeeDee Lamb’s spot as the most fantasy-relevant Cowboy, you’d have thought the All-Pro wide receiver got hurt.

Alas, Lamb is perfectly healthy and awfully productive, and Williams holds the top spot regardless. How about that for a shock?

Williams, 25, finished with 20.4 and 25.0 points in ESPN PPR leagues over the first two weeks of the season; that comes out to a 22.7 point average, a near four-point advantage over Lamb.

Everybody knows running backs are more valuable in fantasy than receivers, so with Williams’ prowess there and in scoring, he holds, for now, a clear advantage over everybody else on the Cowboys roster.

I expect his scoring to continue as Dallas faces off against a near-bottom-ten run defense in the NFL.

2: CeeDee Lamb: Touchdown’s Be Damned, Volume Still Sky-High

While Lamb may not hold the top spot this week, you can’t be too disappointed if you drafted the former Oklahoma Sooner in the first round of your draft.

Through two weeks of play, Lamb is holding up his end of the bargain, ranking third in receiving yards, fourth in receptions, and second in targets. Yes, he hasn’t gotten in the end zone, but his volume is still sky-high.

CeeDee Lamb is as elite a fantasy option as you can get, and there is something about this matchup with Chicago that increases his value even more.

The Bears’ star cornerback, Jaylon Johnson, will miss this game and a whole lot more as he deals with a groin injury. Expect Lamb to continue his volume prowess, while also having his best chance at a touchdown yet.

3: George Pickens: Momentum Is Building For Dallas’s WR2

It didn’t start too hot, but the vibes around George Pickens heading into Week 2 felt good; boy, were those vibes right.

After a 6.0 fantasy performance against the Eagles, Pickens popped off for 17.8 against the Giants. He reeled in five catches for 68 yards on nine targets, and put up his first touchdown as a Cowboy in the fourth quarter.

Again, with the Bears’ secondary depleted, his value as one of the top Cowboys fantasy football plays skyrockets.

I have no doubt he will keep this strong momentum going in Week 3, and if he does, fantasy experts will start having high-WR2, low-end WR1 conversations in no time.

4: Dak Prescott: Inconsistent Start Sparks Fantasy Risk In Week 3

With 22.14 points against the Giants, Dak Prescott saw a huge increase from his Week 1 point total. The only issue with that is that fantasy owners don’t know which Prescott they will get.

Between Philadelphia’s strong defense and the Cowboys’ Week 1 drop problem, Prescott threw for just 188 yards and no touchdowns.

Last week, as the defensive pressure softened, he went for 361 and two touchdowns, though a third-quarter interception stopped him from having a huge fantasy day.

What can we expect this week?

I lean more on the Week 2 side, as the Bears are allowing the tenth-most passing yards in the NFL, and the reemergence of Prescott’s star receivers should open things up pretty well. He may not be a starter for every fantasy team, but he’s certainly worth a shot.
